Participating smallholder farmers (who are all members of KKFU) establish A/R by implementing a dynamic agroforestry (DAF) system combining a diverse range of tree species together with cocoa. The DAF system increases cocoa yields for farmers, requires no chemical inputs whilst also diversifying income from other products in the system. The DAF system will create permanent forest cover in the project areas and prevent future deforestation by disincentivising shifting agriculture.
