Seeds of Rebirth Project: Hemp, Carbon Farming, and Land Regeneration

In the heart of Piedmont, among centuries-old agricultural landscapes and preserved biodiversity, the innovative project Seeds of Rebirth is taking shape. It is rooted in tradition while addressing today’s environmental challenges. The initiative promotes the return of industrial hemp — specifically the historic Carmagnola variety — as a tool for regenerative agriculture, natural CO₂ absorption, and the development of a sustainable rural supply chain.

Regenerative Agriculture and Carbon Farming in Piedmont

In 2025, uBroker S.p.A. launched an active partnership with Co₂librì to support the Seeds of Rebirth project. This alliance aims to revive the cultivation of Carmagnola hemp within an agricultural system capable of regenerating soils, capturing CO₂, and creating environmental and social value.

The pilot project covered 1 hectare of Piedmontese land, cultivated using sustainable practices with environmental and industrial purposes. Thanks to its high CO₂ absorption capacity and its key role in preventing erosion and supporting biodiversity, hemp proves to be a crucial resource for carbon farming and for enhancing rural landscapes.

A Concrete Example of an ESG Model

uBroker’s involvement is part of a solid and transparent ESG strategy. By directly funding the project, the company promotes the development of a low-impact agricultural system with locally generated, certified carbon credits that are traceable and reinvested in the territory.
