The project “Afforestation with Hazelnut Plantations in Western Georgia” sequesters carbon on previously abandoned land in a poor rural region near the Black Sea coast. Provides sustainable products, ecosystem services, and farmer support with seedlings, training, market access, and land tenure assistance.

The Humbo Assisted Regeneration Project (Southwest Ethiopia) restores 2,724 ha of degraded land with indigenous trees through assisted natural regeneration. Managed by seven community cooperatives, it delivers carbon sequestration, biodiversity, water and habitat benefits, while supporting local livelihoods under agreed community bylaws.
