Small scale community-based afforestation program in Ethiopia
MfM’s community-based afforestation program in Ethiopia (since 2022) combats drought, erosion, and deforestation by restoring degraded land and improving rural livelihoods. Starting with 510 ha in Wogdi (Amhara), the 30-year PoA will generate up to 16,000 tCO₂/year of GS VERs, with community participation central to long-term sustainability and SDG impacts.

Restores 60 ha of degraded land with community participation, improving livelihoods and ecosystems. Expected to sequester 450 tCO₂e annually (13,410 tCO₂ over 30 years), aligned with SDG 13 and other co-benefits.

Progetto di riforestazione commerciale a Panama Est con teak (Tectona grandis), certificato per il mercato volontario del carbonio. Riutilizza terre degradate da pascoli, genera crediti di CO₂, legno di alto valore e benefici sociali assumendo donne nei vivai. Integra conservazione della fauna selvatica a rischio con azioni di monitoraggio e tutela degli habitat.
Panama Tropical Reforestation
Reforestation project in East Panama with teak (Tectona grandis) on degraded cattle ranching lands, aiming for Voluntary Carbon Market certification. Combines carbon credits with social impact by employing women in nurseries, supporting livelihoods, and conserving endangered wildlife, while restoring ecosystems and generating high-value timber.

AR – Romania 1 Afforestation in Stânceni, in the Eastern Carpathian Mountains
LUF Project in Stanceni (Eastern Carpathians, Romania) will reforest 144.5 ha of former communist-era deforested land, now grassland. Planting sycamore, spruce, and beech adapted to the local pedoclimate, the project is led by owner Alexandru Vasile Vilcan with community support, contributing to SDGs 3, 6, 13, and 15.
